Complementing the strength of the contemporary architecture, Copper House overlays a softened design sensibility; an exploration of spatial tensions and contrasts in tone.
The home’s dramatic, concrete stairwell is offset by an expressive, ribbon-like balustrade of lustrous render, gently animated with shadow and light. Beyond, the kitchen’s deep green cabinetry harmonises with copper and steel framing, figured marble and timber batten ceilings, creating a diverse landscape of textures and tones. Fluted glass recalls the vertical expression of the home’s timber detailing, while powdery render, earthen stone and inky blue upholsteries craft a feeling of warmth and intrigue.
