Set in Victoria’s coastal Lorne, this renovation of a 1916 weatherboard cottage celebrates history, supports family life, and establishes meaningful connections to the garden.
Thoughtful replanning attracts light and openness to the home’s kitchen and family rooms, while embracing signature wrap-around verandahs. A light and airy palette reflects Lorne’s seaside tranquillity, combining natural timbers, white marble, textured fabrics, cobbled flooring and rendered finishes—resilient solutions for a young family and beachside home. Vintage and contemporary pieces seamlessly fuse to create an honest, lived-in expression, elevated by bespoke elements, such as the bathroom’s folding, aged brass mirror.
